All other storage should also have a base such as concrete slabs or poured concrete. If you do not have an existing base, look at our plastic bases. Our smallest size is 5’x4’ (so will suit some bike sheds and small sheds) with a full range of sizes above this, increasing to our largest sizes which are suitable for garages.
Probase plastic bases are an easy to assembly kit which allow ventilation under your storage unit and keep your shed raised above any damp.
Our ProBase plastic bases are made from 100% recycled plastic so are eco-friendly! Additionally, they can be moved and reused if you want to reposition your storage in your garden.
The interlocking design makes them easy to assemble and although a ProBASE is lightweight it is very strong and durable. The ProBase should be laid as per the instructions which will include ground preparation, use of the membrane and pea gravel for larger storage buildings. Once laid the plastic base must be level.
If you have a ProBASE plastic base you need to lay this before any installation service can be carried out for larger storage options.

Check the product description and specification to see if the storage unit you are intending to buy has a floor. Some products like bike sheds will have a floor, some will not. Small sheds for example might have OSB sheet flooring which is a cheap option, or they might have a wooden floor designed for strength and longevity.
It is important to know what type of flooring is included, as it will affect the overall stability and durability of your storage unit.
